Hi, I’m Katriina - the Australian–Finnish human behind the wheel. 

I create small-batch, exclusive collections of jewellery, functional ware, and wall art - each piece made slowly, intentionally, and by my hands.

For 25 years I worked as a makeup and SFX artist, which basically means I’ve been

submerged in creativity most of my life. If it involves colour, texture, form, sculpting

or making something beautiful, I’ve done it.

My aesthetic leans toward quiet, confident Scandi simplicity.

My jewellery is non-gendered: clean lines, minimal fuss, timeless shapes for every body.

My ceramics blend mid-century modern functionality with wabi-sabi street-art grit -

because yes, elegance and edge can absolutely coexist.

Ceramics hit me with one of those instant “oh… this is my thing” moments in 2024. Clay lets me explore everything I love — the minimal, the raw, the polished, the textured, the quietly bold.

It’s grounding, meditative, imperfect, and utterly addictive.

Nordic Grey Designs is where my Finnish roots, Aussie spirit, and lifelong creativity all meet — in pieces that feel good to wear, use, and live with.
